Steps to Develop/Offer a New Online Course (first time offering):
- Receive approval from the department head
- For Faculty - complete a Faculty Letter of Agreement Form and submit with signatures to Outreach
- For Non-faculty (including adjuncts & teaching assistants) - complete a NonFaculty Letter of Agreement and submit with signatures to Outreach
- Complete an Online and Blended/Hybrid Course Form and attach a weekly course schedule/calendar and submit to Outreach
New Course Proposal Deadlines:
- Spring 2019, submit by March 15, 2018*
- Summer/Fall 2019, submit by September 15, 2018*
*Exceptions to the above deadlines may be considered; however, there is no guarantee that a course will be approved and adequately promoted when proposed after the deadline.
Other Requirements:
The faculty developer agrees to offer the course at least three times within three years from the completion of development.
Outreach requires a syllabus 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. Syllabi should be emailed to angie.kelly@okstate.edu.
