CAS Undergraduate 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition Entry Form

The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council would like to invite you to be a contestant in this year’s online undergraduate 3MT competition. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 12 at 5:00 p.m. No late submissions will be accepted. Final videos will be due Friday, March 26 at noon. Judging will start Monday, April 5 at 8:00 a.m. and will close on Friday, April 9 at 5:00 p.m.


  • You MUST be an undergraduate in the College of Arts and Sciences and present over your own research.
  • You must completely fill out this form.
  • Contestants will be notified by email of selection by March 17, and will be provided additional information regarding final video submissions.
  • Finals videos will have a strict 3-minute time limit. Remember all final videos are due Friday, March 26 at noon.

Competition Information:

  • Over $3,000 in scholarship prizes will be given with the following awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, People’s Choice Award, and Warner Family HB Thinking Outside the Box Awards
  • Participants will be judged on: Comprehension/Ease of Understanding, Engagement/Expressiveness, and Communication/Clarity
  • Warner Family HB Thinking Outside the Box criteria: Creativity, Ingenuity, and Perseverance
