Italy67Outreach will work with the instructor to create a course approval and a budget.  Our goal is to provide quality, culturally significant opportunities at reasonable prices.  We work with the instructor to determine budgetary limitations.

Where to begin:

  • Determine the course to be offered as a study abroad or domestic travel class
  • Choose country/location (see FAQ)
  • Contact Outreach and complete the course proposal process by May 1
  • Plan a rough itinerary, including facilities, contacts, universities and tour agencies
  • Talk to your students about the upcoming travel opportunity

The CAS Outreach office will then process the course approvals, list the courses in the OSU Study Abroad system, assist with promotion and meet and sign up all students. This includes tracking if students have completed all documents such as rights and responsibilities, assumption of risks, travel insurance, enrollment, safety orientation videos and other travel logistics. Outreach will also handle instructor travel logistics as part of the group, such as air travel reservations or reimbursements, travel requests and vouchers, invoices and payments and payment of salary based on the Salary Policy for CAS International Travel Courses.

Please contact shane.omealey@okstate.edu if you’re interested in proposing a travel course, or if you have any questions.
