BRET S. DANILOWICZ is Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Zoology at Oklahoma State University. Following the completion of his BS in biology with a minor in computer science at Syracuse University’s Utica College (1989), Danilowicz completed a Ph.D. in Zoology at Duke University (1994). With a focus on the ecology of reef fishes, Danilowicz has carried out research at locations ranging from Iceland to French Polynesia that has resulted in more than 30 refereed publications and over $10 million in grant support. Prior to his arrival in Stillwater Dean Danilowicz served as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada and as a faculty member and associate dean at University College Dublin in Ireland. Most recently he served as associate dean and dean of the College of Science at Georgia Southern University (2004-12). In addition to his other degrees Dean Danilowicz holds an MA in Education from Open University (2004) and an MBA from Georgia Southern University (2012).
